Swedish Massage
• INSOMNIA • FATIGUE • STRESS • ANXIETY •
Swedish Massage is a very relaxing and therapeutic style of bodywork. Emollients like lotions and oils are used with an array of strokes such as rolling, kneading, and gliding to help the body improve its circulation. Improving circulation to the muscle increases nutrients and oxygen which will result in the muscle appearing more "toned". Benefits of this type of bodywork are wide-ranging and include relief from aches and pains, decreased stress levels in the body, enhanced mental clarity, improved postural appearance, and greater mobility.
Deep Tissue Massage
• SCAR TISSUE • ACUTE/CHRONIC PAIN •
Deep Tissue Massage is a form of bodywork that aims to relieve tension in the deeper layers of localized tissue in the body. This is a highly effective method for releasing chronic stress areas due to misalignment, repetitive motions, and past lingering injuries. Due to the nature of the deep tissue work, open communication during the session is crucial to make sure you don't get too uncomfortable. Keep in mind that soreness is pretty common after the session, however, effective goals may still be achieved without an overbearing amount of pressure.
Thai Massage
• IMMOBILITY • SORENESS • ACHINESS •
Thai massage (also known as Thai Yoga) is a modality that combines acupressure, deep stretching, yoga-like postures, and pressure on the body’s “sen” energy. With roots from India, this style of massage has been traced as early as 2 B.C. The approach practiced encourages lymph flow, circulation, joint mobilization, and general imbalance; Because of this, pain/stress relief, and mobility are known benefits. Thai massage is perfect combination of revitalizing your energy and physical state. No oil is applied, so you are fully dressed during the session.
Lomi Lomi
• STRESS • WEARINESS • DECREASED CIRCULATION •
Lomi Lomi is the Hawaiian word for "massage", and it is part of a larger native Hawaiian tradition of healing and natural body care. According to Hawaiian tradition, all living beings are seeking a state of balance and love in the world. During a Lomi Lomi session, therefore, we focus on not only relaxing your body through gentle touch, but also reviving your spirit and filling your body with soothing energy.
Sports
• IMPROVED PERFORMANCE • REDUCED INJURY • RECOVERY •
Sports massage plays a crucial role in supporting the performance, recovery, and overall wellbeing of athletes and health enthusiasts alike. This modality encourages blood circulation/lymphatic flow with rhythmic pressure which can lead to reduced muscle tension, promoting flexibility, expedited recovery, and reduced soreness/fatigue. Agility and overall efficiency in movement is the primary focus of this modality. These benefits allow athletes to return to training sooner with less risk to injury.
Shiatsu
• CELL RECOVERY • ENERGY IMBALANCE • IMMUNE FUNCTION
Shiatsu, a form of Japanese bodywork based on the most ancient methods of healing, offers a range of benefits from tension relief to an overall sense of wellbeing. The goal is to balance the body's energy flow, known as Qi (Ki/Chi), in promoting harmony and well-being through targeting specific pressure points. Light to firm pressure on these points are believed to be connected to organ function and emotional balance. The client is typically clothed in flexible attire and the massage is performed without emollients.
